On a snowy day in February 2022 we visited the Hallberg-Rassy boatyard in Ellös, Sweden and met with a project manager/salesperson, Pär Ohrbom.
Pär gave us a tour of the boatbuilding factory, discussed options for the 40C model that we were interested in, and described the timeline for purchasing it.
He explained that we needed to sign the contract soon if we wanted the boat ready for spring, 2024 (Adam’s retirement). So… much to our surprise, we signed a contract and selected the options for our new boat!
The hull with topsides was built Summer 2023 and delivered by truck to the Hallberg-Rassy factory on September 5, 2023.
Ellös is in southwest Sweden, about a 1-hour drive north of Gothenburg.
